What's T.R.I.M. Living?

T.R.I.M. stands for The Real Ideal Me.

We all wrestle with "getting our sh*t together"!  And many of us just end up pulling off the look of having it all together, but in reality we aren't truly happy with who we are.  This concept has become a passion of mine for about 6 years...getting REAL with my own life and learning how to TRIM the nonsense out of every area that I can.  I let it all hit the fan in 2005 when I got real with myself and my unfulfilled marital relationship of over 10 years.  At that point, I felt a freedom that I had never felt before.  I was me.  I was real and I was finally not afraid of what other people would think.  I was real with my God, my family, my friends, but mostly with my SELF.  I have learned to love the person within this journey...me!

Everyday we are forced to live this thing called life.  We go through several motions everyday to endure the set of 24 hours that have been set before us and sometimes just simply survive until the next 24 hours start.  But what is the difference between a quality day or a...well, not-so-quality day?  How do we make each count?  What's the difference between yours, hers, mine?

Each day consists of several aspects of our intimate lives:  our surroundings & external factors, relations with other people, our God, and passion for our own life.

Perception is what drives our daily choices.  Our developed perception of each area of our lives is what becomes our REALITY.  Our reality should be ever evolving, growing and improving.  It should always be challenged with truth.  Different events, concepts, and other factors assist us in the sharpening of our perception of life in each of these areas.  I hope that the daily thoughts and blogs about life on the T.R.I.M. Life blogs give you JUST a slightly different view through which to sharpen your perspectives and bump the quality of your days through new routines, thoughts, and actions!
